DiadSea Final Event to showcase advances in the conservation of diadromous fish across the Atlantic Area

DiadSea Final Event

After four years of transnational collaboration, the DiadSea project will bring together partners, stakeholders, researchers and public authorities for its Final Event, taking place on 15 October 2026 in Évora, Portugal. The event will provide an opportunity to present the project’s main scientific results, tools and recommendations, while reflecting on future cooperation needs for the conservation and sustainable management of diadromous fish species across Europe.

Hosted by the University of Évora, the meeting will gather representatives from the project’s partner organisations as well as experts involved in river basin management, fisheries, biodiversity conservation and environmental policymaking. Throughout the day, participants will explore how scientific knowledge generated by DiadSea can support more effective decision-making and long-term conservation strategies.

The event is open to associated partners, stakeholders, and members of the press. To ensure accessibility, it will also be available online, with simultaneous translation provided.
