Since 23 March, MARE (Universidade de Évora) and IPMA have been sampling shads at the fish auction in Figueira da Foz, Portugal, and tagging them with DiadSea’s Label of Origin, a seal that promotes the consumption of selected species sourced from sustainable fishing practices.

This activity contributes to improving traceability and knowledge of the shad fishery, supporting both scientific research and sustainable management of these emblematic diadromous species.
